Invest in Your Community with OpenCape
OpenCape is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization, and while we gladly accept donations of support in any amount, our focus on fundraising is tied to several major key community initiatives,
Connecting Main Streets
OpenCape seeks funding for Main Street projects to connect businesses and create an environment conducive to entrepreneurship and innovation that will allow towns to move beyond tourism and create year-round jobs and opportunities. These projects typically cost $300,000.
Provincetown Extension
OpenCape is eager to extend our fiber backbone down Bradford Street to the West End and back up Commercial Street, allowing us to connect many more customers in this underserved community. The build would be at 10,800 linear feet of fiber plus pole attachments.
Village Connectivity
Imagine giving a leadership gift to connect your entire community – every household and every business. The cost for each community and project is unique.
Islands Fiber Extension
Both Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket require additional fiber strands in order to meet demand and offer service. This is a significant expense and OpenCape is currently trying to raise $6,000,000 to accomplish the task.
From Funding to Fiber: The Impact of Your Support on Our Network
We already connect 33 libraries on the Cape alone, as well as most of our region's schools. OpenCape uses our high speed, 100% Fiber Optic Network to ensure businesses can grow, expand, create jobs, and provide economic stability in our communities. Connecting municipalities, schools, research facilities, libraries, and universities is an integral part of our mission. So is ensuring our healthcare providers are equipped to take advantage of our state-of-the-art technology and enabling our public safety officials to work effectively in the worst conditions.
Would you like to discuss your leadership gift?
OpenCape welcomes the opportunity to discuss these projects, as well as the goals and objectives you have for your philanthropy.
