Cape Cod Small Businesses May Now Meet Criteria for Free, High-Speed Internet Service
OpenCape fiber optic network is working to bring high-speed internet service to Cape Cod businesses through new grant opportunities.
There are a number of grants businesses can apply for. Grant funding may be used to expand online presence or purchase equipment, hardware and/or software related to enhancing digital capabilities. It can even include the one-time installation cost of connecting to high-speed internet!
OpenCape is a Barnstable-based nonprofit that owns, operates and maintains a state-of-the-art 100% fiber optic network that provides reliable and affordable broadband internet access for businesses, healthcare providers, educational institutions and municipalities across Cape Cod, the Islands, Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. OpenCape has launched several residential fiber internet pilots on Cape Cod, with the goal of supporting and fostering community led initiatives to connect homes across our region and help bridge the digital divide.
