OpenCape Connects Cape Cod Cultural Institutions

Access to high-speed reliable 100% Internet means cultural institutions and museums can offer online exhibitions, stream events, and host virtual classes, workshops and lectures as part of their efforts to support the visual and performing arts in our region. As a non-profit ourselves, OpenCape’s mission includes a focus on affordably connecting community institutions to support them in providing critical services and enrichment programming.

Two of our more recent non-profit partners are each leaders in the cultural community of Cape Cod: The Cotuit Center for the Arts and The Cape Cod Museum of Art.

The Cotuit Center for the Arts is an award-winning arts and culture non-profit organization that was founded in 1993. Now that Cotuit Center for the Arts is connected to our high-speed 100% fiber network, they can more effectively and reliably offer their multitude of online exhibits, classes, workshops and live streaming events.

OpenCape also recently connected the The Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis. Founded by artists in 1981, CCMoA preserves the work of the Cape’s finest artists and celebrates the distinctive artistic identity of the Cape, the Islands and the region. It is a major hub of the cultural life of the region. Through its outstanding art collection and diverse programming, CCMoA educates, inspires and excites the imagination while caring for and connecting the Cape's many communities.

Connecting these two pillars of the Cape Cod arts and culture scene is just one of the ways OpenCape is partnering to provide affordable, 100% fiber to local non-profit organizations. Reliable, high-speed Internet means more art, theatre and music lovers can enjoy outstanding collections, diverse programming and talented performers.
