The OpenCape network is sometimes referred to as the “Third Bridge,” joining the Sagamore and Bourne bridges as access portals to and from Cape Cod.
This moniker illustrates our view that the network, as core infrastructure, can be used as a tool to enhance and grow the economy in our region and help reshape the dialogue about where we work, how we live, and what we create.
If you live on the Cape, the Islands or elsewhere in Southeastern Massachusetts, chances are you currently have only one option when it comes to internet connectivity for your home or business. OpenCape is working to change that and to offer towns, businesses, and residents the chance to choose how they interact in this digital age.
The OpenCape network provides a platform for economic development, growth and innovation. Our state-of-the-art network allows our region to compete economically and attract, develop and retain local businesses. We also work to ensure that our schools flourish to provide opportunities for our grown children to return home after college and work and live in the communities they love. OpenCape's network allows patients to reach doctors and specialists around the corner or around the world, and we are continually working to use connectivity to address pressing social problems like wastewater management, traffic and addiction.
OpenCape provides the vibrant infrastructure that will allow our communities to flourish for decades to come!
