OpenCape to connect wells, water towers and Cotuit Water headquarters as part of $3 million award and grant to Cotuit Fire District by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development that will provide the village with a state-of-the-art water system.
“This is just one of the benefits of having an ultra-sophisticated Fiber network like OpenCape servicing our communities” said Steve Johnston, Executive Director at OpenCape. “towns are really beginning to think and plan for the future. The Cotuit Fire District showed a great deal of forward thinking here and we are pleased they selected OpenCape to connect their facilities.” In addition to connecting Cotuit’s wells and tanks, the fiber optics will provide real-time monitoring and fast data transmission from security cameras and a control operation to the headquarters.
We already have several communities looking to complete similar projects and connecting them with our Fiber, it is really encouraging to see towns being progressive.
