Southcoast Hospital

Southcoast Health is a not-for-profit, community-based health system with multiple access points, offering an integrated continuum of health services throughout southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Our system includes four hospitals — Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River (founded in 1885), St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford (founded in 1884) and Tobey Hospital in Wareham (founded in 1938). These hospitals merged on June 9, 1996 to form Southcoast Hospitals Group and operate under a single hospital license.
