How fast is fast?
While we can offer service at any speed, our goal is to make sure our service is more than the average person needs. Even our entry level service speeds are wicked fast! The average speeds of the competition are less than half of what we offer, so you might be shocked at what your OpenCape connected allows you to do.
What’s the difference between dedicated, symmetrical Internet service and shared gigabit passive optical network (GPON)?
Okay, we know. That's a lot of jargon! Simply(ish) put, dedicated, symmetrical internet, or what we call “enterprise-level connection”, gives businesses reliable, redundant service that never waivers or slows down, even on the busiest summer day. Open Cape’s state-of-the-art 100% Fiber Optic Network provides unmatched symmetrical upload and download speeds from 20mbps to 100GBps or more.
Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) connects residents or businesses to a shared gigabit of service, which is still super fast. If everyone was on it at the same time, it might go down to 600 Mbps, but that is still very fast.
What about TV?
We call it "cutting the cord." As you enjoy speed, reliability and great customer service with your broadband connection, you'll use the streaming service of your choice to get all your favorite television programming, only with WAY better resolution.
What if I need a phone line?
We work with Voice over IP (VoIP) phone providers and can help connect our new customers.
Are there any hidden fees?
Nope. What we quote you is what we bill you. There are no hidden fees or extra surcharges. Once you're connected, you only pay the cost of the service and the router for the best Internet connection available!
